Advantage Sales and Marketing currently has a number of immediate openings for an Adult Beverage Promoter/Event Specialist in the San Diego/Oceanside/Carlsbad/Vista/Encinitas/Del Mar/Ramona/Temecula/Rancho Mirage & Palm Desert, California area. We are looking for outgoing and energetic individuals to conduct in-store wine samplings at local retailers. This is a part-time, seasonal position with a competitive pay rate.

As an Event Specialist you will conduct in-store product demo’s and sampling to generate excitement, build brand awareness, and drive sales through event execution and promotions. The position requires weekend availability and has a Friday through Sunday schedule working a 4-hour shift between the hours of 11am - 7pm.

Position requirements:
• Comfortable with responsibility of having to deny and ability to communicate with confidence when denying sale or sample of alcohol to underage or intoxicated guests.
• Previous experience demonstrating, serving and/or promoting alcoholic products.
• Preferred previous experience in Bartending, Promotions, and Nightlife Promotions.
• Must be at least 21 years of age in order to promote and serve alcohol
• Ability to learn and comply with the rules and regulations governing wine, beer and spirits promotions
• Ability to maintain a calm demeanor under pressure
• Assertive in selling. Dynamic, outgoing, engaging, and articulate. Ability to talk actively and informatively to consumers.
• Preferred to already have Responsible Alcohol Server Certification or willing to obtain the certification.
• Regular and reliable internet access and telephone service as needed to perform job duties.
• Regular and reliable transportation as needed to travel and/or commute to perform job duties.
• Able to lift 25 lbs on a non-repetitive basis.
• Must have the ability to stand and interact with customers and members by moving away from the station as needed in order to promote sales for 4 hour increments.

Required Uniform:
• White button down shirt w/collar (dress shirt or polo)
• Black slacks
• Comfortable/clean black shoes.
